The Iranian Scientific Association of Waste Engineering and Management, under the supervision of the Commission of Scientific Associations of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, was established with the presence of professors, experts, prominent thinkers, and managers of the country. Its purpose is to expand, advance, and promote the scientific field of waste management and engineering, as well as to enhance the quality of specialized human resources and improve educational and research activities in the fields of environmental engineering and waste management. The association received its establishment license from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology in 2011.

Goals and activities of the association include:
– Conducting scientific and cultural research at national and international levels with researchers and experts involved in environmental science and waste management.
– Collaborating with executive, scientific, and research institutions to evaluate, review, and implement plans and programs related to education and research in the scientific field of the association’s focus.
– Encouraging and motivating researchers, as well as honoring outstanding scholars and professors.
– Providing educational, research, and technical services.
– Organizing scientific gatherings at national, regional, and international levels.
– Publishing books and scientific journals.
